How I Use (and can help you use!) The Writing Revolution

I am a private practitioner sharing my knowledge.

It’s taken me a long time to feel comfortable implementing The Writing Revolution. Partly because as a private tutor, I have students of all ages and skill ranges so I really needed to master the entire book. That took some time!

I’m excited to share three ways I can help you if you are struggling with implementation or how and where to start.

📓 The first way is available to anyone. I’m sharing photos of how I organized my google drive folders- scroll down anytime to see that.
Cost: free!

📓 The second way is via a 35 minute deep dive video of me explaining how I organized my folders in Google Drive, how I’ve used those skills to scaffold and sequence skills for students, and what kinds of materials I have in each folder. You will receive a private Youtube link once payment is received.

Cost: $5 (Text “TWR” to 813-784-6771 and I’ll send payment instructions.)

📓 The third way is via a private consultation. You can ask me any questions you’d like and I’ll help you create an actionable plan you can implement ASAP. I’ll also share any resources I have that will help you fill up your bank of resources.
Cost: $50 per 45 minute session, scheduled by appointment (email Alignedclassroom@gmail.com)

Happy Writing!

Inside of my main folder, “TWR Resource Center”, I’ve got five folders organized by sentence level skills, then paragraph level skills, then diagnostics, references, and templates.

Inside of the sentence level skills folder, I’ve got twelve sub-folders. I do use this as a sequence of skills, but loosely. I might not start at conventions with all students, but putting the range of skills in this order helps me plan sequential lessons.

Inside of the paragraph level (¶) skills folder, I’ve got ten sub-folders. Starting with the easiest paragraph level skill (the topic sentence) and progressing on to the way more complex MPO (multi-paragraph) skills. This helps me keep track of where in the scope of things I am with a student!
